Along with spying Lucille Michieli’s fox masks, lusting after crochet Instagram purses, getting lost in Eibatova Karina’s illustrated typography and swooning over Britt Bass’ Lover Arrows, this week, we checked out Clare Owen’s illustrated recipe for rose macarons, fell in love with collages by Matt Wisniewski, geeked out over new Angel Olsen tunes (look at that cover art!), gawked at Veselka Bulkan’s felt accessories and wanted to make quirky, patterned pompoms. Buenos Aires textile artist Miga de Pan creates magical embroidered pieces that carry an air of innocence and tips its hat to childhood whimsy. The embroidery maven uses fabric and yarn as her mediums, on which she weaves in imaginative, doodle-esque portraits of chairs, animals, abstract flowers, and scenery. Our favorite embroidered piece of her’s happens to be a textile cactus number that doubles as a pin cushion, and lies in a terracotta planter. Want more?
