Emma Block Style Icon Illustrations
If you’re anything like us, then you adore the 1960s. From shift dresses to Peter Pan collared minis; natural lips to heavily mascaraed eyelashes; pixie cuts to bouffants and braids, everything about that decade — fashion and makeup wise, anyway — was spot on. Illustrator Emma Block shares our affinity for that era in a series called Style Icon. The English artist put ink to paper with a collection of illustrated odes to ’60s legends like Edie Sedgwick, Brigitte Bardot, Twiggy, and Jean Seberg. The series focuses in on their sense of style and trademark look — we’re especially fond of her Edie drawing, that Factory girl holds a special place in our heart. Girl crushes aside, Ms. Block’s drawings are wonderful and inspiring if you want to revamp your look with some vintage flair. Check ‘em out after the jump.
