Things We’re Inspired By This Week

May 18th

Along with swooning over swan purses and terrariums, traveling into the world of Mr. Mustache, and discovering some whimsical paper flowers, this week, we geeked out over a Tom Waits-narrated mini-doc on John Baldessari, learned how to tie-dye our denim, explored cute packaging ideas featuring pipe cleaners and conversation hearts, checked out some DIY projects from 1964, and fell in love with pressed flowers.  Peek inside the rest of our little diary after the jump. xo.

We loved this post by the Hairpin featuring DIY projects from the January 1964 issue of Calling All Girls.

We got dizzy trying to imagine what it’d be like to inhabit these Cube Houses in Rotterdam made by Dutch architect Piet Blom. (via)

How lovely are these pressed flowers by The Dainty Squid?

We drooled over this adorable 2012 line from Aussie fashion label Romance Was Born.

Finally, we gawked at some photos of Nico and Lou Reed, backed by “I’ll Be Your Mirror:”
